Nine Mexican universities who form the Educational Innovation Network (RIE360) have launched the website http://rie360.mx/, which includes educational resources for innovating on teaching due to COVID-19.
The goal of joining forces is to make it easier and more accessible to transition students and teachers to digital distance learning, using best practices.
This site includes open-access resources, tools, and recommendations for developing successful educational programs during this emergency.
The universities are as follows:
- Tecnológico de Monterrey
- Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México
- Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla
- Instituto Politécnico Nacional
- Universidad Anáhuac México
- Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana
- Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León
- Universidad de Guadalajara
- Universidad Iberoamericana
“We all have to ask ourselves how we can contribute to looking for new methods, because we have to acknowledge that something has changed forever with this emergency. When it’s over and we’ve pulled through, we’ll end up being different people,” said Salvador Alva, President of Tecnológico de Monterrey.
“Only those who learn to adapt to change and act quickly are going to survive,” he added.
Leaders from several Mexican universities, whose missions are based on teaching, research, and innovation, have been obliged to act and collaborate in a bold and decisive manner during this emergency.
As we have recently announced, millions of teachers and students have been moved from onsite courses to an online format, making use of different platforms and technological support.
WHAT IS THE EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION NETWORK FROM THESE 9 UNIVERSITIES?
The Educational Innovation Network is a strategic collaboration that seeks to provide good results for both the universities themselves and the entire higher education system in Mexico.
