Diana Flores, the Mexican flag football star and graduate of Tec de Monterrey’s Santa Fe campus, has been included on Forbes magazine’s “30 under 30” list in the sports category.
This quarterback from the Mexican national flag football team was featured among the most influential young people in sports in North America because of her efforts to promote flag football in Mexico and the United States.
The “30 under 30” list is compiled by Forbes magazine every year to feature leadership from young people around the world, as well as their contribution and impact in different sectors of society.
“Being named on the ‘30 under 30’ list is such an honor. I feel so grateful, blessed, and proud. Thank you, Forbes! The future is bright,” said Diana Flores on social media.
A sport with a bright future
“Diana Flores, who picked up flag football as an 8-year-old, went from playing in the NFL’s grassroots program in Mexico to participating in the league’s flag championships,” wrote Forbes in its profile on her.
“And, in 2022, leading her country to a 39-6 blowout of the U.S. to win gold at the World Games. She now serves as a global ambassador for the NFL and is the first Under Armour athlete in her sport,” it added.
At the beginning of this year, Diana Flores debuted as offensive coordinator in the 2023 NFL Pro Bowl Games, alongside two-time Super Bowl winner Peyton Manning as the team’s head coach.
She also starred in the Emmy-winning commercial “Run With It,” which debuted at Super Bowl LVII and earned the athlete a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
In 2022, Flores led the Mexican national team to win gold against the United States in the World Games in Alabama.

Recently, Diana and the Borregas team from the Tec’s Santa Fe campus came second in the 2023 National Flag Football Tournament.
She is currently a global ambassador for the NFL, a role that allows her to share her passion for flag football and inspire more girls and young women to take up this sport.
“It’s my mission to keep opening doors for girls and women in all areas,” the sportswoman has said on multiple occasions.
